The pricing model

Why pay per server instead of per account?

Because a hosting business should get cheaper per customer as it grows, not dearer. cPanel sets its licence tier by how many accounts a server holds and, above 100, adds $0.49 a month for every extra account. Vanta Panel charges one flat price per server: $10 a month on Unlimited, whether it hosts ten accounts or a thousand.

Is Vanta Panel a hosting panel or a deploy tool?

Vanta Panel is a hosting panel: it runs the mail server, the authoritative DNS and the customer-facing panel that selling shared hosting needs. Deploy tools such as CloudPanel and RunCloud put sites and apps on a server but leave mail and authoritative DNS to other services, and their team and site-user roles are not a panel where hosting customers manage their own email, DNS and backups.

Getting started

How do you install Vanta Panel?

Run one command on a fresh Ubuntu or Debian VPS. The installer verifies the release signature, then sets up the web server, mail, DNS, MariaDB, the runtimes and both panels; you are live in about three minutes.

  1. Run one command

    Paste the install command into an SSH session on a fresh server. The installer checks the release signature, then sets up both panels and the whole stack.

  2. Point your domain

    Set your private nameservers in Server Setup and add your domain. Free SSL is issued automatically, so every site gets HTTPS.

  3. Create accounts

    Open accounts in vWHM, import them from cPanel, or let WHMCS create them with the free module. Customers self-serve the rest in vPanel.

How much does Vanta Panel cost?

Vanta Panel is free for one hosting account, one mailbox and one database, with no card and no trial clock. Basic is $5 per server per month for five of each, and Unlimited is $10 per server per month for unlimited hosting accounts, mailboxes and databases. Every tier includes every feature; you pay per server, never per account.

Is Vanta Panel cheaper than cPanel?

Yes, and the gap grows with every account, because cPanel prices by account and Vanta Panel does not. What do I need to install Vanta Panel?

A fresh VPS running Ubuntu 22.04 or newer, or Debian 12 or newer, on x86_64 or arm64, with about 2 GB of RAM, about 3 GB of free disk and root access. One command installs both panels and the whole stack, and you are live in about three minutes.

How is Vanta Panel different from CloudPanel or RunCloud?

CloudPanel and RunCloud are deploy tools: they put sites and apps on a server. They do not run a mail server or authoritative DNS for your domains, and their team and site-user logins are not a panel where hosting customers manage their own email, DNS and backups. Vanta Panel ships all three, which is what selling shared hosting needs.

Can I move my accounts from cPanel to Vanta Panel?

Yes. vWHM's Import from cPanel tool takes a cPanel account backup and recreates the account, including its Linux user, home directory, primary domain, databases, mailboxes and cron jobs. The old server is never modified. Mailbox passwords, custom DNS records such as SPF, DKIM or an external MX, SSL certificates, and addon domains or FTP accounts do not transfer: you set those up again afterwards, and certificates are issued fresh in one click.

Does Vanta Panel work with WHMCS?

Yes. The WHMCS module is a free download with no separate licence. It works with every tier, and the tier's account limit applies, so hosting companies run it on Unlimited. It creates, suspends, unsuspends, terminates and changes plans for Vanta Panel accounts from WHMCS over a scoped API token.

Is Vanta Panel related to Vanta, Vantablack or Vantaa?

No. Vanta Panel is an independent self-hosted web hosting control panel. It is not affiliated with Vanta (vanta.com, compliance software), Vantablack or the city of Vantaa.
